Meet John
For 24 years, John Knapp has answered the call to keep Southwest Alabama safe. He's served with multiple law enforcement agencies and today serves with the Clarke County Sheriff's Office.
John isn't a politician. He's a lawman, a man of faith, and a proud husband and father of four. He's a conservative who stands with President Trump and believes Alabama's best days are ahead when we put families, faith, and freedom first.
John’s Priorities
-
I'll stand against overreach from Washington and Montgomery alike, and I'll protect your right to speak freely, worship freely, defend your family, and live your life without a bureaucrat looking over your shoulder.
-
No family should pay a tax just to put food on the table, and no worker should be punished for earning a paycheck. Your money belongs in your pocket, not with a government that has never met a dollar it didn't want to spend. I'll fight to let you keep what you earn.
-
Too many dangerous criminals are back on our streets before the paperwork is filed. I'll sponsor legislation that keeps violent offenders behind bars, backs the officers who protect us, and puts the rights of victims ahead of the comfort of criminals.
-
Our schools should teach reading, writing, math, and history, not push political ideology on our children. And girls deserve a fair shot on the field, which is why I'll fight to protect girls' sports, their scholarships, and their locker rooms.
-
Alabama took a historic step for families with the CHOOSE Act, and now we have to finish the job. Fully funding it means every parent, not just those who can afford it, has the freedom to find the school where their child will thrive, whether that's public, private, or homeschool.
-
Our farmers feed our state and power our rural economy, yet they're squeezed by rising costs at every turn. An annual sales tax holiday on equipment, parts, fencing, and supplies puts real savings back into the hands of the families who keep Alabama growing.
-
License plate cameras are quietly tracking where law-abiding citizens drive, and that data is being stored and shared with almost no oversight. This is a mass surveillance system, and that's unacceptable. I'll push for clear limits on how this information is collected, how long it's kept, and who gets to see it, because your movements are your business.
